Frequently Asked Questions
I haven’t ridden a bike in a while — is this tour right for me?
Yes. These are casual bike tours, designed to be relaxed and approachable. If you can ride a bike, you’ll be comfortable on this tour — it’s as easy as riding a bike. Our guides will get you set up and make sure you’re comfortable during the tour, and we ride at an easy pace with frequent stops.
While the ride itself is easy, the experience is engaging for riders of all experience levels — whether you ride all the time or just occasionally.
We want you to be happy. If you decide this isn’t the right fit for you, we can sort out a refund and point you toward a good coffee shop or watering hole while the rest of your group finishes the ride.
How safe is bike riding in Bozeman?
These tours are led by experienced guides, and your safety is always on their minds. We stick to low-traffic streets and bike paths, and only cross busy streets a few times along the way. We ride at a comfortable pace and stay together as a group, making this a calm and enjoyable way to get around town.
What kind of bike will I be on?
All of our bikes are comfortable “town” bikes — upright, geared bikes with hand brakes that are fun and easy to ride. Each bike has a drink holder and a small basket for personal items. The route includes just one gentle, easy hill, and we take it at a relaxed pace.
What about bears?
Everyone asks about Bears. Bears are part of the broader Montana landscape, but our tours stay within town where wildlife encounters are rare. This is not a wilderness ride. For more local context about bears and visiting the area, see our Visit Bozeman page.
How long is the tour?
Our tours last about 2.5 hours, including frequent stops to share stories, explore neighborhoods, and take breaks along the way.
